NGC 2848

NGC 2848 is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation of Hydra. Its velocity with respect to the cosmic microwave background is 2,361 ± 23 km/s, which corresponds to a Hubble distance of 34.82 ± 2.46 Mpc. It was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel on 31 December 1785.
