Redshift-space distortions (RSD)
It's as if the ripples in space are being stretched when looking at different neighborhoods within the universe. Specifically, this relates to galaxy surveys that observe how galaxies move with respect to each other.
Technical definition
A measure of the distortion caused by the expansion of the universe on galaxy distributions when projected onto redshift maps.
