Polarisation and Faraday rotation measurements

Each piece is a galaxy, with its unique properties, like size, distance from us, and environment.

Technical definition

The measurement of the polarisation angle of radio waves passing through the interstellar medium or intracluster plasma, which can provide information on magnetic field structures and orientations, as well as Faraday rotation effects due to the presence of ionised gases.
