Deflagration-detonation models

like a special recipe: a star starts with some fuel, just like a car needs gas to move, and when the fuel runs out, the star "blows its top" in a massive explosion

Technical definition

A theoretical model that describes the explosion of a star through a combination of deflagration (a slow and stable burning front) and detonation (a rapid and explosive burning front).
