Binary Interaction Effects
It turns out that K 1-6 isn't what scientists thought it was. Many years ago, people believed it was a "stardust" cloud left behind when an old star died. But our brave astronomers took a closer look and discovered something new! They realized the nebula isn't from an old star at all – it's actually made up of gas from space that's being powered by our speeding white dwarf friend.
Technical definition
The process by which the physical interactions between two or more stars within a binary system affect their individual evolution, including mass transfer and energy exchange.
