Anti-correlation
When two dishes have ingredients that work against each other – like a sweet sauce on top of an over-salted burger.
Technical definition
A statistical relationship in which higher values of one quantity (e.g., star formation rate) are accompanied by lower values of another quantity (e.g., gas metallicity), and vice versa.
